40th anniversary King Carl Gustav on the Swedish Throne: Events 13-15 September 2013

HM King Carl Gustav of Sweden celebrated his 40th anniversary as King of Sweden on 15 September 2013. King Carl Gustav became the King of Sweden upon the death of his grandfather, HM King Gustaf Adolf of Sweden.

13 September 2013: 
Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson, opened the exhibition 40 years on the throne, 40 years serving Sweden in the Hall of State. TM King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia, TRH Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, HRH Prince Carl Philip, and HRH Princess Madeleine attended the opening.

14 September 2013:
TM King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia, TRH Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, HRH Prince Carl Philip, and HRH Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill attended a dinner at Nordiska Museet in Stockholm which was held by the government.

TM King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia, TRH Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, HRH Prince Carl Philip, HRH Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill, TM King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway, HM Queen Margrethe and HRH Prince-Consort Henrik of Denmark, Princess Kristine Bernadotte, Countess Gunilla Bernadotte af Wisborg, , Countess Wachtmeister af Johannishus, Countess Marianne Bernadotte af Wisborg, Countess Madeleine Bernadotte af Wisborg, attended a Te Deum thanksgiving service at the Royal Chapelof the Palace of Stockholm.

The City of Stockholm invites the people of Stockholm and visitors to "Dancing at the Palace". The dancing was attended by TM King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia, TRH Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel with HRH Princess Estelle, HRH Prince Carl Philip, and HRH Princess Madeleine and Christopher O'Neill.
