HI&RH Archduke Rudolph of Austria died on May 15, 2010, aged 90.

The Archduke was born on September 5, 1919, as the youngest son of HIM Emperor Charles I of Austria, King of Hungary, and his wife, HIM Empress Zita of Austria, Queen of Hungary, born HRH Princess Zita of Bourbon-Parma.

Archduke Rudolf was first married to the late HI&RH Archduchess Xenia of Austria, born Countess Xenia Czernichev-Besobrasov, who died in 1968, with whom he had 4 children, HI&RH Archduchess Maria Anna, HI&RH Archduke Karl Peter, HI&RH Archduke Simeon, and the late HI&RH Archduke Johannes of Austria.

The Archduke secondly married HI&RH Archduchess Anna Gabriele of Austria, born HSH Princess Anna Gabriele of Wrede. They have 1 daughter, Archduchess Catharina-Maria of Austria.
