New official picture of Marius Borg Høiby

The Norwegian Royal Court has released a new official picture of Marius Borg Høiby, the son of HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and Morten Borg.

The picture was taken by Julia Marie Naglestad, who also took the official picture the Norwegian Royal Court released to celebrate the conformation of Marius. I think the picture was actually taken on the same day.

Confirmation of Marius Borg Høiby

The Confirmation (Lutheranism) of Marius Borg Høiby, the son of HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway and Morten Borg, took place on on 2 September 2012.

TM King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway; TRH Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway with HRH Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway; Morten Borg with his wife, Celine, their son, Luke, and Celine's son from a previous relationship, Emanuel; and Marit Tjessem (mother of the Crown Princess) were present.

Prince Emmanuel of Belgium to school for children with learning disabilities, other Belgian Princes and Princesses going back to school

Following the holidays, HRH Prince Emmanuel of Belgium, the youngest son and the third child of TRH de Duke and Duchess van Brabant, Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, started at a school for children with learning disabilities, called "Eureka". On his first day, the Prince was taken to school by his father. (CLICK for a picture gallery from Belga.)

The other children of Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, HRH Princess Elisabeth, HRH Prince Gabriel and HRH Princess Eléonore of Belgium, are going to school at the "Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege". The children of Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde aren't the only Belgian Royals who go to the Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege. The youngest daughter of HIRH Princess Astrid of Belgium, Archduchess van Austria-Este, HIRH Princess Laetitia Maria of Belgium, Archduchess van Austria-Este, is also attending that school, as were here older siblings before her. The other children of Princess Astrid and her husband, HIRH Archduke Lorenz van Austria-Este, Prince of Belgium, are HIRH Prince Amedeo of Belgium, Archduke van Austria-Este; HIRH Princess Maria Laura of Belgium, Archduchess van Austria-Este; HIRH Prince Joachim of Belgium, Archduke van Austria-Este; and HIRH Princess Luisa Maria of Belgium, Archduchess van Austria-Este. Prince Amedeo has finished University (Royal Military School and London School of Economics) and currently works for Deloitte in New York. Princess Maria Laura is currently following a fashion internship in China. Prince Joachim is studying Management in Milan and Princess Luisa Maria is going to school in England

The children of TRH Prince Laurent and Princess Claire of Belgium, HRH Princess Louise, HRH Prince Nicolas and HRH Prince Aymeric of Belgium are going to the school "Lycee Francais Jean Monnet".

A photoshoot with a large part of the Belgian Royal family took place on 2 September 2012.

Present were TM Koning Albert and Koningin Paola of the Belgians; HM Queen Fabiola of Belgium; TRH the Duke and Duchess of Brabant, Prince Philippe and Princess Mathilde, with their children, HRH Princess Elisabeth, HRH Prince Gabriel, HRH Prince Gabriel, and HRH Princess Eléonore of Belgium; TIRH Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz of Belgium, Archduchess and Archduke of Austria-Este, with 3 of their 5 children, HIRH Prince Amedeo, HIRH Prince Joachim and HIRH Princess Princess Laetitia Maria of Belgium [all also Archduke/Archduchess of Austria-Este]; and TRH Prince Laurent and Princess Claire of Belgium with their children, HRH Princess Louise, HRH Prince Nicolas and HRH Prince Aymeric of Belgium.

The oldest daughters of Princess Astrid and Prince Lorenz, HIRH Princess Maria Laura of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este; and HIRH Princess Luisa Maria of Belgium, Archduchess of Austria-Este, had already left for their internship (Princess Maria Laura) and school (Princess Luisa Maria).

The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel of Sweden inaugurate Path of Love in Royal National City Park

TRH Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, Duchess and Duke of Västergötland, inaugurated the Crown Princess Couple's wedding gift from WWF and nature, the "Kärleksstigen" (= "Path of Love") in the Royal National City Park in Stockholm on 23 August 2012.

HRH Princess Lalla Amina of Morocco died on 16 August. Countess Alix of Lannoy, the mother of the fiancée of the Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg, died on 26 August.

Swedish Royal Court releases new official pictures of Prince Carl Philip and of Princess Madeleine

The Swedish Royal Court released new official pictures of HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden, Duke of Värmland, and of HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland.

13th birthday of Prince Nikolai of Denmark

To celebrate the 13th birthday of HH Prince Nikolai of Denmark today, 28 August 2012, the Danish Royal Court released new official pictures of the Prince and his younger (full) brother, HH Prince Felix of Denmark.

The Prince is the oldest child of HRH Prince Joachim of Denmark and his former wife, HE Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg, née Alexandra Manley. Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix also have 2 younger halfsiblings, HH Prince Henrik and HH Princess Athena of Denmark, children of their father and their stepmother, HRH Princess Marie of Denmark.

Death of Countess Alix of Lannoy

Countess Alix of Lannoy, the mother of Countess Stéphanie of Lannoy (the fiancée of HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg), died on 26 August 2012 following a stroke.

The Countess was born Alix della Faille de Leverghem and married Count Philippe of Lannoy in 1965. They had 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters.

Queen Sirikit of Thailand celebrates 80th birthday

HM Queen Sirikit of Thailand, née Mom Rajawongse Sirikit Kitiyakara, celebrates her 80th birthday today, 12 August.

The Queen was born as the oldest daughter and third child of HH Prince Nakkhatra Mangkala Kitiyakara, Prince of Chanthaburi, and Mom Luang Bua Sanidvongs. Her siblings are the late Mom Rajawongse Galyanakit Kitiyakara, Mom Rajawongse Adulyakit Kitiyakara and Mom Rajawongse Busba Kitiyakara.

On 28 April 1950, the Queen married HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The King and Queen have 3 daughters, Princess Ubol Ratana, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, and 1 son, HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

- Princess Ubol Ratana was married to Peter Ladd Jensen. They have 3 children. They are divorced.

HRH Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia died on 8 July.

Young Crown Prince Hridayendra of Nepal celebrates 10th birthday

HRH Young Crown Prince Hridayendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev of Nepal, the only son of TRH Crown Prince Paras and Crown Princess Himani, née Princess of Sikar, celebrates his 10th birthday today, July 30. The Prince joined older sister HRH Princess Purnika. In 2003, another daughter was born to the Crown Prince Coupe, HRH Princess Kritika.

The Nepalese government abolished the monarchy on 28 May 2008. Later that year, the Crown Princely family moved to Singapore.

Prince Hans Adam II and Princess Marie of Liechtenstein celebrate sapphire wedding anniversary

TSH Prince Hans Adam II and Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, née Countess Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau, are celebrating their sapphire wedding anniversary (aka 45 years) today, 30 July 2012. The couple now has 3 sons and 1 daughter, and 9 grandsons and 8 granddaughters. (See below)

Prince Hans Adam was born on 14 February 1945 as the 1st child of TSH Prince Franz Joseph II and Princess Gina, née Countess of Wilczek. The Prince was later joined by younger brothers HSH Prince Philipp, HSH Prince Nikolaus and HSH Prince Franz Josef, and younger sister, HSH Princess Nora.

Princess Marie was born on 14 April 1940 as the 4th child of Count Ferdinand and Countess Henriette Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau, née Countess of Ledebur-Wicheln. She joined older siblings Count Ferdinand, Countess Aleonore and Count Johannes Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau. She was later joined by 3 more siblings, Countess Aglaë, Countess Elisabeth and Count Carl Christian Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau.

HSH Sovereign Prince Hans-Adam II and HSH Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, Countess of Kinsky of Wchinitz and Tettau, have 3 sons and 1 daughter.

TRH Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark with their 2 oldest children, HRH Prince Christian and HRH Princess Isabella of Denmark, and HSH Princess Alexandra of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Countess of Pfeil and Klein-Ellguth, with her children, Count Richard and Countess Ingrid of Pfeil and Klein-Ellguth, visited Legoland in Billund.

Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark and family holiday in France

TRH Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark and their children, HH Prince Henrik and HH Princess Athena, are on a holiday "Chateau de Cayx" in France.

As mentioned by the Prince in an interview, his children with his former wife, HH Prince Nikolai and HH Prince Felix, also spend part of their holiday with their father, stepmother and halfsiblings in France.
