HRH the Prince of Sa'id, Prince Muhammad Ali of Egypt, and HRH Princess Noal Zaher Afghanistan are engaged.

The Prince is the eldest son and heir of HM King Fuad II of Egypt and of his former wife, HRH Princess Fadila of Egypt, born Dominique-France Picard.

The Princess is the youngest daughter of TRH Prince Muhammad Daoud Khan Pashtunyar and Princess Fatima Begum of Afghanistan, born Fatima Zaher Aref. Prince Muhammed is the fifth son and seventh child of the late TM King Mohammed Zahir Shah and Queen Humaira Begum of Afghanistan.

Aiglemont, France, 26 April 2013 -- His Highness the Aga Khan today announced the engagement of his eldest son, Prince Rahim Aga Khan, to Ms. Kendra Spears of Seattle, Washington, the United States.  

The Aga Khan, who is the Spiritual Leader or Imam of the global community of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, said he was delighted to announce the engagement.  

Prince Rahim Aga Khan holds a BA from Brown University and an executive management degree from the Navarra Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He is involved in the poverty reduction efforts, notably micro-credit activities, of the Aga Khan Development Network – one of the largest private systems of agencies fostering social, cultural and economic development in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.  

Ms. Spears holds a BA in sociology from the University of Washington in her native Seattle. She has a strong interest in arts and architecture. Ms. Spears has had a highly successful career as a model, working with many of the most prestigious fashion houses.
The couple will be married in a Muslim ceremony. The date of the marriage has not been set yet.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Chris O'Neill are engaged

HRH Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, and Christopher O'Neill are engaged. The wedding will take place in the summer of 2013.

Interview with the Princess and her fiancé.

- Congratulations on your engagement, how does it feel?
* M: We are very excited and happy. It's a special day for us.

- When did Christopher proposed?
* M: It was early October. It was very romantic and nice. We are keeping the rest to ourselves.

- Christopher, where you nervous?
* C: I've been thinking about it for a while and I wanted to wait for the right moment. But I know Madeleine wanted to marry.

- When did you first meet?
* M: We met through mutual friends. For me it started with a close friendship. We shared the same sense of humor and had great fun together. Chris opened up my heart, he is my soul mate.

- Christopher, when you realized you wanted to woo Princess Madeleine?
* C: I immediately felt something special for Madeleine.

- What was your first impression of Christopher?
* M: I appreciate Chris for his warmth and humor. He has a very big heart and he always manages to get everyone around him feel good. He is an incredible caring and generous person.

- Christopher, have you talked to King about getting marry Princess?
* C: It is true that I have spoken to the king and told him that I want to marry Princess Madeleine.

- What was King's reaction?
* C: The King and Queen were excited, and a little concerned, I think.

- Christopher, do you speak any Swedish?
* C: I can say a few words and I'm going to learn more Swedish.

- Can the Princess tell us something about Christopher's family?

* M: I appreciate Chris family very much. They have always been very nice to me and welcomed me with open arms. Chris has a wonderful family!

- Can you say something about the Princess's family? How was your first meeting?

* C: I have come to know the Swedish Royal family well. I have been extremely well received and felt from the first moment very welcome. They are all friendly and we have very nice when we seen them all.

- How do you see a future family?
* M: Of course we are looking forward to getting married and eventually form our own family.

- Where will you stay?
* M: Right now, we will continue to stay in New York because of both of our work. But we do not exclude the possibility that we move to Sweden in the future.

- Christopher, what do you know about Sweden?
*C: Sweden is a great country. It is so beautiful here and the people friendly. I have mostly visited Stockholm and Öland. I hope to have the opportunity to visit Sweden a bit more often now.

One last question: when will the wedding take place?
* M: We'll come back with details about the wedding. But it will take place in Sweden during the summer of 2013.

Presentation of Countess Stéphanie of Lannoy to the press

Tomorrow at 15:30 the presentation of Countess Stéphanie of Lannoy to te press will take place in the presence of her fiancé, HRH Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg, TRH Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, other members of the Grand Ducal family, and members of the family of Countess Stéphanie.

Earlier tomorrow, at, 11:30 the Hereditary Grand Duke, along with his parents, the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, will present the Countess to members of the government. Afterwards the families of the bride- and groom-to-be will have a private lunch.

HRH Prince Siaosi Tuku’aho of Tonga, eldest son of TRH Crown Prince Tupouto’a Lavaka and Princess Nanasipau’u Tuku’aho and second in line to the throne, announced his engagement to his second cousin, the Hon Sinaitakala Fakafanua, only daughter of HRH Princess ‘Ofeina Fakafanua and the late Kinikinilau Tuto'atasi, Lord Fakafanu, on January 24. The Faitohi ceremony took place at the end of July 2011.

Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Parma and Albert Brenninkmeijer are engaged

HRH Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon-Parma is engaged to Albert Brenninkmeijer. This was officially announced on 9 January 2012.

Princess Maria Carolina, Marchioness of Sala, Duchess of Guernica, is the fourth child and youngest daughter of HRH the late Duke of Parma, Prince Carlos Hugo, and of his former wife, HRH Princess Irene of the Netherlands. She has two older brothers, HRH Prince Carlos, the Duke of Parma, [who is married to HRH Princesss Anne-Marie, née Annemarie Gualthérie van Weezel. They are currently expecting their first child together. Prince Carlos has a son, Carlos, with Brigitte Klynstra.] and HRH Prince Jaime, and an older sister, HRH Princess Margarita. [who is married to Tjalling ten Cate. They have 2 daughters, Julia and Paola]

Princess Maria Carolina has studied political schience at the University of Amsterdam and at Harvard University. The Princess also studied Forced Migration at the University of Oxford. At the moment she is working for the United Nations in Switserland.

Albert studied Economics at the University of Edinburgh and has his MBA from Oxford University. He currently works as a member of the board at C and A France.

Double-engagement in the House of Habsburg: Archduke Christoph & Adelaide; Archduke Imre & Kathleen

2 sons of HIRH Archduke Carl Christian of Austria and his wife HIRH Archduchess Marie-Astrid née Princess of Luxembourg, officially celebrated their respective engagements on 22 December in Brussels, Belgium. HIRH Archduke Imre got engaged to Kathleen Walker and HIRH Archduke Christoph got engaged to Adélaïde Drapé-Frisch. The engagement of Archduke Christoph took place in March this year.

Archduchess Marie Astrid is the first child of HRH Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg and of his wife, the late HRH Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte, née Princess of Belgium. Archduke Carl Christians is the son of the late HIRH Archduke Carl Ludwig and of his wife HIRH Archduchess Yolande, née Princess of Ligne.

HRH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa of Bahrain and HRH Princess Sahab bint Abdullah bin Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia are engaged. The Sheikh announced the happy news on March 7, 2011, on his Twitter account.

The Sheikh is the 5th son of HM the King of Bahrain.
The Princess is one of the daughters of HM the King of Saudi Arabia.

Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia and Princess Sophie of Isenburg are engaged

HIRH Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia and HSH Princess Sophie of Isenburg are engaged. The wedding is to take place later this year.

Prince Georg Friedrich is the son of TI&RH the late Prince Louis Ferdinand and Princess Donata of Prussia, Countess of Castell-Rüdenhausen. Princess Donata later married Duke Friedrich August of Oldenburg as his second wife.

Prince Georg Friedrich has a younger sister, HRH Princess Cornelie-Cecile of Prussia.

The Prince is the head of the Imperial House of Germany and the Royal House of Prussia.

Princess Sophie is the daughter of TSH Fürst Franz Alexander and Fürstin Christine of Isenburg, Countess of Saurma, Freiin von und zu der Jeltsch.

She has an older brother, HSH Hereditary Prince Alexander of Isenburg, 2 older sisters, HI&RH Archduchess Katherina of Austria, Princess of Isenburg, who is married to HIRH Archduke Martin of Austria and the have 3 children, HIRH Archduke Bartholomäus, HI&RH Archduke Emmanuel and HI&RH Archduchess Helene of Austria, and HSH Fürstin Isabella of Wied, Princess of Isenburg, who is married to HSH Fürst Carl of Wied and they have 3 children, HSH Hereditary Prince Maximilian, HSH Prince Friedrich and HSH Princess Isabella of Wied, and a younger brother, HSH Prince Viktor of Isenburg.
