Christening of Princess Isabelle of Orléans

The christening of HRH Princess Isabelle of Orléans, the first child of TRH the Duke and Duchess of Anjou and Duke-Consort and Duchess of Cadaval, Prince Charles-Philippe and Princess Diana of Orléans, took place on 21 October 2012.

Godparents of the Princess are HRH the Prince of Asturias, Prince Felipe of Spain, and Countess Maria Theodora della Gherardesca, Countess of Löwenstein-Scharffeneck.

TRH the Duke and Duchess of Vendôme, Prince Jean and Princess Philomena of Orléans, with HRH Prince Gaston and HRH Princess Antoinette of Orléans; HRH the Duke of Orleans, Prince Jacques of Orléans; and HRH Princess Hélène of Orléans, Countess of Limburg-Stirum, attended the general meeting of the Friends of the Château d’Eu on 6 October 2012.

It's a girl for the Duke and Duchess of Anjou (and Cadaval)

TRH Prince Charles-Philippe and Princess Diana of Orléans, The Duke and Duchess of Anjou and The Duke-Consort and Duchess of Cadaval, had their first child, HRH Princess Isabelle, on 22 February 2012. The Duchess gave birth to the little Princess in Lisbon, Portugal.

According to the new parents, the new Princess of Orléans is named after her great-grandmother, HRH the late Countess of Paris, Princess Isabelle of Orleans, née Princess of Orléans-Braganza. In addition, 22 February is the day of Saint Isabelle of France. The announcement also made public that the new family of three plans to share their time between living in Estoril and living in Évora, Portugal.

Christening of the Duke of Burgundy and the Duke of Berry

HRH Prince Louis of Bourbon, the Duke of Burgundy, en HRH Prince Alfonso of Bourbon, Duke of Berry, the twin sons of TRH Prince Louis Alfonso and Princess Maria Margarita of Bourbon, the Duke and Duchess of Anjou, were christened on September 5, 2010, at the Vatican.

The Princes have an older sister, HRH Princess Eugenia of Bourbon.

Christening of Gaetano Dailly

Gaetano Dailly, the second son and youngest child of HRH Princess Adélaïde of Orléans and Pierre-Louis Dailly, was christened on June 18, 2010. Gaetano was born on August 25, 2009.

Princess Adélaïde is the second and youngest daughter of TRH the Count and Countess of Évreux, Prince Michel and Princess Béatrice of Orleans.


Princess Adélaïde married Pierre-Louis civilly on April 27 and religously on June 1, 2002. They are also parents to a son, Diego, born on November 20, 2003, and a daughter, Almundena, born December 16, 2004.

Twin boys for the Duke and Duchess of Anjou

TRH Prince Louis Alfonso and Princess Maria Margarita of Bourbon, the Duke and Duchess of Anjou, became the proud parents of their 2nd and 3rd child, HRH Prince Louis of Bourbon and HRH Prince Alfonso of Bourbon, today, May 28, 2010.

Prince Luis received the additional title of Duke of  Burgundy from his father.
Prince Alfonso received the additional title of Duke of Berry from his father.

The Duke and Duchess of Anjou were already parents to a girl, HRH Princess Eugenia of Bourbon.

The couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary in New York. The Duke and Duchess married civilly on March 19, 2009, and religiously on May 2, 2009. There son was born on November 19, 2009.
