During the Te Deum at the Cathedral of St Michael and St Gudula and the abdication ceremony of HM King Albert II at the Royal Palace, HRH Prince Philippe will wear the uniform of a Lieutenant General of the Air Component. Once he is sworn in before the parliament, HM King Philippe of the Belgians will be the Commander-in-Chief of the Belgian Armed Forces. The King will wear the uniform of a General of the Land Component for his swearing-in and for the rest of the ceremonies.
