HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands has appointed HH Prince Maurits of Orange-Nassau, van Vollenhoven, by Royal Decree of 1 May, as His Aide in Special Service. The Prince was also promoted to Commander of the Royal Netherlands Navy.
As Aide in Special Service, Prince Maurits will be able to assist or represent the King during ceremonial Military Occasions. The Prince will carry the monogram of the King on his uniform.
