Christening of Princess Estelle: The baptismal font

The baptismal font at the christening of HRH Princess Estelle of Sweden, Duchess of Östergötland, was was created in conjunction with the building of the new church in the Three Crowns Castle built in the late 1600's. HM King Karl XI of Sweden ordered a new font in silver that would be one of his gifts to the new church.

The baptismal font was frist used at the christening of of the later HM King Gustav III in 1746, and has been used at every (Swedish) Royal christening since.
