72nd birthday of the Queen of Denmark

HM Queen Margrethe of Denmark celebrates her 72nd birthday today, 16 April 2012.

The celebrate her birthday, the Queen stepped out on the balcony with her husband, HRH the Prince-Consort, Prince Henrik; their sons, HRH Crown Prince Frederik and HRH Prince Joachim; their daughters-in-law, HRH Crown Princess Mary and HRH Princess Marie; and their grandchildren, HRH Prince Christian, HRH Princess Isabella, HRH Prince Vincent, HRH Princess Josephine [children of the Crown Prince and Crown Princess], HH Prince Nikolai, HH Prince Felix [children of Prince Joachim with his first wife], HH Prince Henrik and HH the as of yet unnamed Princess of Denmark [children of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie].

The name of the newest Danish Princess will be revealed on the day of her christening, 20 May 2012. This is the third time the Princess has been seen by the public, the first time being when she went home from the hospital with her parents, and the second time when the official pictures of the new family of 6 were released.
