The 80th birthday Gala banquet for Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner, was held on her birthday, 12 February 2012. In addition to the Princess and her husband, Johan Ferner, among others, TM King Harald and Queen Sonja, TRH Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Märtha Louise of Norway, and Princess Ragnhild, mrs. Lorentzen and Erling Lorentzen were present.
